Request a

Quotation

Before asking for a quote - please consider these factors:

What...

The type of space being scanned is important because you may want us to focus on different elements.

A business might want use to focus on their goods and services rather than the space. However a residential sales or letting agency may want us to focus on the space and the facilities.

Why...

You might be wanting to attract buyers or renters to your property. Alternatively you may be wanting to attract customers to a shop or restuarant or give people a virtual tour of a museum or display.

In some instances, for facilities or asset management, you might want to create a BIM or E57 file for your own records.

Size Matters!

The main consideration of the price offered is the size of the space to be scanned. This needs to be in square feet. If you want an area scanned that has more than one floor you will need to add the space taken up by each floor together - plus add any areas outside of the building you want to be scanned (like a garden or patio).

Quotation Terms and Conditions

When providing you with a quotation based on your requirements, "we" (3d Scans and Tours) will use a service called Invoice Ninja to store your details. We will not share any information from Invoice Ninja with any other third parties. You agree to us utilising your data in this way by agreeing to the terms and conditions in the electronic quotation form above.

Quotations are valid for 30 days only.

The quotation may come with some options for you to choose from. These are explained on this site on the "Understanding your quotation" page.

THINGS YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW!:

Calculating the square footage to be scanned:

When calculating the square footage to be scanned you must:

  1. Measure each room / space and multiply the width by the length in feet - this gives you the square footage
    1. An example - A rectangular room where two opposite walls are 10 feet in length with the other two walls being 6 feet in length would equal a square footage of 60 sq ft (10 x 6)
  2. Add the square footage of each space you want scanned together to get your total square footage (including any outside areas you want scanned)
  3. Note: If you have a 60 sq ft room on the ground floor and a 40sq ft room above it, that would be a space of 100 sq ft i.e. all spaces, irrespective of what floor they are on, need to be added together

Getting the total floor space figure correct for your quotation:

It is vital when asking for a quotation that the square footage of the premises you require us to scan is correct to within 25 square feet.

  1. If this figure is found not to be correct, and we arrive to perform a scan, we reserve the right to either
    1. charge a correction fee of £20 and then charge the appropriate amount for the square footage scanned or
    2. charge a sum based on our mileage travelled plus a call out fee of £20 and then cancel the scan (which would be paid out of any deposit with the remainder refunded / paid appropriately)

How to move from a Quotation to a Scan?

We hope that you'll find our quotations to be of a reasonable price. Information for moving forward with your scan will be included with the quotation - however, as a summary, should you wish to proceed with your scan, you will need to:

  1. Book it in with us - we will give you an estimate of how long we think it will take - considerations are:
    1. It should be at a time when no-one else is about
    2. It generally needs to be a time when it is daylight outside - especially if you want us to undertake an outside scan
    3. Weekends and summer evenings are good for us (no supplementary charge)
    4. If it is a residential property you may want to give it a tidy before scanning and remove any items that are personally identifiable (written statements, family pictures etc)
  2. Pay a 20% deposit (of the total scan value) via an agreed means
  3. Look to see if you would like to take up any of the options prior to our visit (this may include tagging certain features, adding PDF instructions, menus, photos of products etc)

Under what circumstances could our scan be cancelled?

As already noted, it generally needs to be good weather for a scan to take place. If, on the day of the scan, it looks like the weather may not be condusive to a good scan (either raining / snowing etc or even super bright sunshine) we will contact you to make alternative arrangements.
